iPhone Recovery StickRetrieve Deleted Text Messages, Call Logs, & More
The most reliable way to get information off an iPhoneThe iPhone Recovery Stick is the only forensics tool available that does a thorough examination, resulting in the collection of the most important information an iPhone holds. There are numerous copycats out there that try to do the same thing, but fall short of pulling all the saved data on the iPhone.
Using the iRecovery Stick is super easy and takes only a moment to start the retrieval process. It also doesnít leave any information about what you are doing on the computer.
All recovered data is organized into categories so its easy to find what youíre looking for. If you are in a hurry, you also have the option to export everything to a spreadsheet file (Excel) that you can email to yourself or print off to look at later.
Overview of how the iPhone Recovery Stick works
Deleted Information Retrieved:
The time it takes to do a complete recovery depends on how much information is stored on the iPhone. It generally takes 15 minutes for the average user. Information like deleted text messages and call history may be retrieved from many months ago with relative ease.
The best way to determine how long it will take is to open iTunes and select the iPhone in the left navigation menu. At the bottom of the iTunes Browser, add the storage usage for ĎPhotosí and ĎOtherí, and then multiply that by 15 minutes. Since texts donít take a large amount of space, itís pretty safe to say that it will take about 90% of customers only 10-20 minutes for a full recovery.
Important Tech Tip
The iRecovery Stick can retrieve deleted text messages, but that doesnít mean it will recover the deleted text messages that you are looking for. The iPhone is a complex device, and sometimes it permanently erases information in such a way that the iRecovery Stick canít recover it.
Imagine it this way: your iPhone is a computer. When you delete something from the iPhone, it really only gets moved to an invisible Ďtrash caní. Itís out of sight and you think itís totally gone, but itís still there and can be recovered. Sometimes, though, the iPhone will empty the trash can in order to make room for other things on the phone.
So, you can recover deleted text messages with the iRecovery Stick, but it might not be able to get the ones you want if too much time has gone by. It varies from phone to phone, so please be aware your mileage may vary.
In order to use iRecovery Stick you must have:
Can I use the iPhone Recovery if I don't know the passcode or the device is locked?
No, you must be able to unlock the device to be able to start the recovery process
How far back will I be able to go when looking at deleted data?
There is no guarantee of any set period of time. Results will vary from device to device depending on how much memory is available for it to store deleted information. A device can only keep deleted data on it if it has the memory space to do so. Once it runs out of free memory space, it will have to overwrite the deleted data in order to make room for new information. At that point, the deleted data is gone and will not be able to be recovered. If the iPhone Recovery Stick does not recover the data you were hoping to recover, at some point, the phone overwrote that data, usually because it didn't have enough memory to keep it.
The good news is, most phones are not using all the memory capacity and have plenty of space to store deleted information. Just be aware that your results may vary depending on the individual device.
If the iPhone Recovery doesn't get the data I was hoping to recover, can I return it?
Unfortunately, as we've stated in our return policy and is industry standard practice, we cannot offer refunds or exchanges on the iPhone Recovery software once it has been opened. If Paraben technical support determines you have a defective product that's covered under warranty, it will be repaired/replaced under the warranty.
Why is the Recovery taking longer than it says it would for the majority of people?
The amount of time the recovery process takes depends mostly on how much data is there to be recovered. If it's text data being recovered the recovery process should be quick. However, if you are running the iRecovery on a device that has a lot of picture/video data it will take longer. A good rule of thumb is about 15 minutes per gigabyte of data being recovered.
Is there any way to get JUST text data if I'm not interested in recovering picture/video data?
Unfortunately at this time with the iPhone Recovery, you cannot filter any data types for recovery. We will update this information if that changes in the future.
I'm having a technical issue with the stick. Where can I get help?
